QPR 3-2 West Bromwich Albion
Date Played – 4th March 1967 (League Cup Final)

The first League cup final ever to be played at Wembley looked set to be a one sided contest. First division outfit West Brom faced QPR of the third division. The West Brom team featured star names, including Jeff Astle and Tony Brown. West Brom took an early lead after just seven minutes as winger Colin Clark sent a thudding right foot shot past goal keeper ‘Springett.’ Clarke scored his second with ten minutes remaining of the half. They should have added to the score line by half time, however a Springett save kept the score line at 2-0. During the early stages of the second half, QPR looked a different team. Roger Morgan rose above a ruck of defenders in the 63rd minute to score for QPR. Twelve minutes later, Rodney Marsh leveled the scores with a sublime piece of skill. Marsh glided past three defenders and cannoned a right foot shot past Sheppard. Eight minutes from time, the Albion goalkeeper lost the ball when challenged by defender Ron Hunt. Lazarus was on hand to smash the ball home. Rodney marsh was the star as QPR won the league cup of 1967.

FA Cup Match: Spurs 1-1 QPR
Date Played: 22nd May 1982

Tottenham reached the FA Cup final once again and were intent on holding on to the trophy. In the eighth minute, Mickey Hazard, nearly gave Spurs the lead as Steve Archibald latched on to his floated cross and twisted an effort past Hucker’s far post. Spurs created chance after chance only to be denied by Hucker. Spurs back four were rarely troubled, due to an early injury to Rangers striker, Clive Allen. Spurs almost went down just before the end of the half. In the second half, play became bogged down in midfield, with Tottenham growing increasing frustrated at their inability to beat the splendid Hucker. Hoddle struck in the second period of extra time. Dispossessing Waddock midway inside rangers half, he swapped passes with Roberts and finally beat Hucker with a 20 yard drive that took a deflection of Currie.
Rangers reply was swift and decisive. Six minutes later, Stainrod’s long throw was flicked on by Hazell and Fenwick headed past Clemence from point blank range.

Norwich City 3-2 Queens Park Rangers
Date Played – 17th April 2006
This was probably one of the finest matches in the coca cola championship during the 2005 – 2006 season. In what looked like a QPR victory, Norwich made an astonishing comeback. Gareth Ainsworth put Rangers in front towards the end of the first half and Cook made it 2-0 to the visitors on the hour mark as the points looked heading the visitors way. After end to end action, Norwich pulled a goal back from Darren Huckerby in the 78th minute. Robert Earnshaw, a new signing from West Brom, proved to be the match winner, scoring on the 85th and 90th minutes to make the score line finish off 3-2 to the canaries.
